About the Hospital
Founded in 1955, Guang’anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (also known as the Second Clinical Medical Research Institute of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences), is a national base for the export of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) services and a participating institution of the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Traditional Medicine.
The hospital currently operates two main campuses, three branch hospitals, 13 outpatient clinics, one pharmaceutical preparation center, one herbal medicine production enterprise, and one pharmaceutical distribution enterprise.
The main campus has 37 clinical departments and 9 medical technology departments. It includes 6 National Key Clinical Specialties, 6 National Regional TCM Specialty Diagnosis and Treatment Centers, 12 National TCM Advantageous Specialties, 16 Key Specialties designated by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 7 Key Specialties in Beijing, and 2 Core Specialties in the capital.
The hospital receives approximately 5.2 million outpatient visits annually and has consistently ranked among the leading TCM hospitals in Beijing in terms of outpatient volume.
