Appetite-Stimulating and Spleen-Strengthening, Intestine-Moistening

Sān Líng Bái Zhú Sǎn (Appetite-Stimulating and Spleen-Strengthening Powder)
Ingredients:
- Ginseng (de-rooted) – 1 pound 8 ounces
- White Poria (steamed, peeled) – 1 pound
- Atractylodes (soil-fried) – 2 pounds
- Dried Chinese Yam (fried, peeled) – 1 pound 8 ounces
- Lotus Seed (fried, de-cored) – 1 pound 8 ounces
- White Hyacinth Bean (peeled, soaked and fried with ginger juice) – 1 pound 8 ounces
- Platycodon (fried to yellow) – 1 pound
- Amomum Fruit – 1 pound
- Coix Seed (fried) – 1 pound
- Licorice (roasted) – 1 pound
Preparation:
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder. Take 2-3 qian (approximately 6-9 grams) per dose. It can be taken with rice water, jujube decoction, cooked water, or Acorus calamus decoction.
Functions:
Stimulates appetite, strengthens the spleen, regulates qi, and relieves stagnation.
Indications:
For spleen and stomach deficiency, poor appetite, fatigue, chest fullness, shortness of breath, cough, thirst, loose stools, chronic diarrhea, and poor appetite following the ulceration of abscesses.
